Students, Alumni and Mentors: Join Humphrey students, alumni, and mentors for this exciting networking event where you'll learn or brush up on how to approach people, introduce yourself, and work a crowd to make positive and worthwhile connections. Get ready to gain some critical networking skills! Attendance for each part of the event is optional.

Be sure to bring a stack of business cards!

4:30 - 5:00 pm Elevator Pitch Workshop, Room 180 Humphrey School

Optional. Need some help with what to say about yourself when you meet professionals you want to impress? Come to a "Practice Your Pitch" session at 4:30 to learn how to make a positive first impression and craft your pitch, and practice with other students before the Speed Networking event. (Alumni are welcome to attend as well).

5:00 - 5:45 pm Practice Your Pitch, Humphrey Forum

Students: Take the great skills you just learned in the workshop and practice with Humphrey alumni and mentors before the Work That Room reception.

Alumni: Connect with Humphrey students and help them practice and hone their elevator pitches.

5:45 - 7:00 pm Work That Room reception, Humphrey Forum

Build your network and practice making connections by meeting Humphrey students and alumni. Also, learn some great tips for networking at professional events.
