Freezin' for a Reason 5K

Participate in the University of Minnesota's College of Science and Engineering Student Board's annual 5K! This year's Freezin' for a Reason will benefit Every Meal, a Twin Cities' organization dedicated to reducing food insecurity by providing kids with lunches during weekends and over breaks. Every Meal has been providing our community with meals continuously through the economic hardships of the pandemic. Freezin' for a Reason was started as a way to raise charitable funds while challenging runners to endure the frigid late November Minnesota temperatures.

This race will be hosted virtually. Complete the race anytime from Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd. Feel free to run or walk! You will be able to submit your results virtually on the registration site anytime during this time period. The top two male and top two female runners will win free SESB merch! Just remember if you are vying for a top spot, please record your run using your favorite workout app and screenshot the results! Participants are also given free 2020 long sleeve Freezin' T-Shirts! T-Shirt pick-up will occur Friday, November 20th from 1:45 to 4:45 at Coffman Memorial Union room 303*. The deadline for receiving a shirt with your sign-up is Friday the 20th at 10:00 PM.

*Unfortunately SESB is unable to ship T-Shirts, therefore in order to receive a T-Shirt you must be able to attend the pick-up time. If you are unable to attend the pick-up time, contact us and we may be able to accommodate another pick-up time.
