Call(ed) To Action is a multi-day educational experience for college students centered around creating social change.
The event dates are Friday Feb. 21 & Saturday Feb. 22 (this is not an overnight event). This event is free & meals are provided.
Details & more information will be provided after the application closes on Jan. 22
During the experience, attendees will:
> Examine power & privilege personally, socially, institutionally, historically & systemically
> Strengthen a foundational understanding of social change concepts & language
> Establish a network of peers & mentors invested in social change
> Acquire greater skills for identifying oppressive actions or ideas
> Develop action steps for continuing social change work
Social change encompasses a wide array of ideas, movements and areas of focus. This experience seeks to provide space for exploring & digging deeper into these concepts to ensure everyone has a basic knowledge of social change work & can use these tools to take action. This can include: racial justice, microaggressions, accessibility, gender justice, policies and legislation, community organizing, advocacy & activism, feminism, harm reduction, intersectionality, and much more! In the questions below, we'd loved to learn more about your experiences with these concepts & also what areas you'd like to do more self-work!
