Directions and Parking

Minneapolis/St. Paul has one major airport (MSP) with two separate terminals; terminal one (or Lindbergh terminal) and terminal two (or Humphrey terminal). Terminal one services most major carriers, including Delta, United, and American Airlines. Terminal two services most charter carriers such as Sun Country and Southwest. The college is approximately 15 miles from the airport and a thirty-minute drive. Please allow extra time for rush hour traffic Monday through Friday.

Directions to the college and a campus map can be found online. The closest on-campus parking is available in the Gortner Avenue Ramp, a two-minute walk from the Animal Science/Veterinary Medicine Building, which also includes disability parking and electric vehicle charging spots.

Please do not park in the Small Animal Parking lot adjacent to the Veterinary Medical Center. This lot is by permit only and unauthorized vehicles will be ticketed and towed.

Interactive Poster Session (Zoom Only)

The interactive poster session will take place from 8:00am -9:00am on Education Day May 19 2023 and will be an online-only event facilitated using Zoom breakout rooms from the main Education Day meeting posted above. Breakout rooms are named after the presenters that will be available at that time and meeting participants will be able to choose which breakout room they want to visit to talk to poster presenters. The posters and the  primary findings of each are available for you to view on the Poster 2023 page of this site. The poster session is intended for clarifying questions and brainstorming ideas so feel free to check them out before the poster session on Education Day. The breakout rooms will remain open throughout the duration of the poster session but poster presenters will only be in their rooms for conversations during their designated times. The poster session schedule is posted directly below.

Mapping to the CBVE Competencies and Milestones in the Pre-clinical Years

1:30 - 3:00 pm in ASVM 135

Objective: The objective of this workshop is to guide faculty on how to connect pre-clinical learning objectives to the competencies and milestones using the principles of Competency-Based Veterinary Education (CBVE). In this workshop, we will be using veterinary and non-veterinary examples.

Pre-requisites: No prior knowledge of the CBVE is required to attend this workshop. The initial exercise of the training will guide participants through the principles of the CBVE using a non-veterinary example. The pre-clinical exercise combines both veterinary and non-veterinary elements for participants to choose from based on personal comfort level.
