Research Environment
The Liu Lab is part of the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology (IBP), located in the Cancer and Cardiovascular Research Building (CCRB) at the University of Minnesota. Our lab has access to extensive core facilities, and is part of a network of researchers dedicated to collaboration and interdisciplinary research. Our lab is committed to providing a welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds, orientations, and experiences. We care deeply about scientific curiosity and integrity, mentoring, career development, and a sense of community.
Julia Liu and the Team
Dr. Julia Liu joined the University of Minnesota faculty in 2020 and started the Liu Lab, which is focused on understanding the role of mitochondria in development of cardiac and muscular disease.
