The Proteomics Research Group (ABRF) is conducting a study to enable academic and core facilities in using Data-Independent Acquisition (DIA) technology. The PRG plans to provide a test sample set, protocols and resources to facilitate the use of DIA.

Background:  
Proteomics researchers are realizing the promise of DIA, but there is a need to develop best practices and offer opportunity for adoption. The PRG realized that there was a need  for a go-to resource for new users interested in DIA studies. The need for a resource that provides information about sample processing, data acquisition and data analysis motivated the PRG to undertake this study.

Study Plan:  
As part of this study, the PRG has developed a prototype sample set comprised of a HeLa digest spiked with four non-human proteins at different concentrations. We will provide tested samples to participants along with recommended data-acquisition methods. Raw data will be requested from participants for PRG to analyze.

Tentative Dates:
1) August 15th-November 15th: Samples were sent to requesting laboratories. Protocols available for researchers.
2) Until January 1st 2019 - Participants will deposit raw data to a MassIVE FTP account and submit information via a questionnaire about the acquired data.
3) March 2019: PRG will present the data and findings at the Annual ABRF Conference.
