Procedures:
If you agree to be in this study, we would ask you fill out a brief online survey
questionnaire. Please note: At a later point, we may seek a potential follow up face to
face interview with some survey respondents to capture specific use contexts of
commercial streaming video.
Confidentiality:
The records of this study will be kept private. In any sort of report we might publish, we
will not include any information that will make it possible to identify a subject. Research
records will be stored securely on university secured computers. Please note: some
Libraries staff and potential campus streaming service partners may have access to
identifiable data for streaming programmatic evaluation purposes in order to better serve
the campus. For educational purposes, the Libraries and potential streaming partners may
also seek to highlight the value of commercial streaming video with instructor
commentary captured in this survey. In this event, your permission will be sought before
providing public attribution.
Voluntary Nature of the Study:
Participation in this study is voluntary. Your decision whether or not to participate will
not affect your current or future relations with the University of Minnesota. If you decide
to participate, you are free to not answer any question or withdraw at any time without
affecting those relationships.
