Background Study (1) Photo IDIn order to participate in program training, residents/fellows must complete a 2-part background check:
1) Submit an online Background Study Application with the Minnesota Department of Human Services before their start date
2) Attend an in-person fingerprint/photograph appointment within 14 days of submitting the application

Provide a copy of a government-issued photo ID to the GME office that you will show at your fingerprinting appointment to verify your identity. Complete this step before completing step 3. Provide the same ID to this step as you will use to complete your application and take to the appointment.

If you ARE IN Minnesota, you can submit an online Background Study Application. Once processed, you will be notified to schedule a fingerprint/photograph requirement.

IF YOU ARE NOT IN MINNESOTA, **WAIT** to submit this online application until at least 2-7 business days before you arrive. Once GME processes your application, you will only have 14 days to go in person to a fingerprint appointment at a Minnesota location.

ACTION:
