Description

Graduate School Seminar Series: Collaborative Leadership & Grand Challenges Research

Efficient and high performing teams require deliberate and mindful leadership and facilitation. This seminar will focus on building the emotional intelligence necessary for leading and facilitating effective teams. Research has proven that our emotional intelligence (EQ) is more reliable in predicting success than our intelligence quotient (IQ). We’ll explore a practical framework for understanding and developing emotional intelligence and its relationship to team effectiveness. You’ll learn how emotional intelligence increases our ability to inspire trust, make effective decisions, build relationships, deal with stress and generate shared commitment to team goals.
