Graduate School Seminar Series: Collaborative Leadership & Grand Challenges Research
Innovation involves seeing connections among seemingly disconnected phenomena, using lateral or design thinking. This abductive form of reasoning complements inductive and deductive reasoning and understanding it is essential to forming a good hypothesis and to doing significant research. This seminar will give participants a sense of the rigorous way in which the creative mind works and how those methods can help us arrive at innovative solutions to grand challenges.
