How did you hear about our programs?
AIS Detectors Newsletter
The AIS Detectors Newsletter is a bi-monthly newsletter that provides general AIS information, program features, upcoming events, volunteer and researcher features and more!
AIS Detectors Core Course
The AIS Detectors Core Course is an introduction to aquatic invasive species (AIS) science, identification, and surveillance. You will learn how to report invasive species, best practices for preventing the spread of AIS, relevant rules and regulations, and how to search for AIS on your own. (https://maisrc.umn.edu/detectors-core)
Starry Trek
Starry Trek is a statewide event focused on searching for one of Minnesota's newest aquatic invasive species, starry stonewort (and other invaders). This event is an opportunity for you and to team up with us and hundreds of your fellow Minnesotans to better understand its distribution in Minnesota. (https://maisrc.umn.edu/starrytrek)
AIS Management 101 Course
This online class is perfect for anyone who wants to be better informed about aquatic invasive species (AIS) management strategies. If you would like to be a more informed consumer about what’s happening on your nearby lake, have a better understanding of what lake management professionals are doing, or are considering new AIS control efforts, this class is for you! (https://maisrc.umn.edu/ais-detectors/ais-management)
Aquatic Plant ID Workshop
Join us in a room filled with aquatic plants gathered from across the state with experts guiding you through how to identify all of them. This workshop is geared toward all levels — from beginners to experts — and you don't have to be an AIS Detector. (https://maisrc.umn.edu/ais-detectors/plant-id)
Spiny Surveillance
A MAISRC pilot project testing a citizen science approach for spiny water flea surveillance and early detection. We will provide local managers and volunteers with a simple protocol, including timing and equipment guidelines, aimed at optimizing spiny water flea detection in the field.  (https://maisrc.umn.edu/spinysurveil)
