The Farm at the Arb Apprenticeship is a 9-month Sustainable Horticulture certificate program at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, in collaboration with the UMN Horticultural Sciences Department and Extension.

As part of the 2023 application process, it is mandatory to attend one 2-hour Information Session, participate in one 3-hour Interview Day, and fill out an official Farm at the Arb Apprenticeship Survey (given on Interview Day). This application will close on December 15, 2022.

Step 1: Fill out this interest form. Keep an eye on your email for more information.
Step 2: Attend one mandatory information session date. Sign up for work shadow at information session.
Step 3: Attend your Work Shadow Day. Receive link to official Apprenticeship Survey
Step 4: Fill out application & return by October 1.

After a candidate completes all steps of the admission process, our team will look over applications and call references.

Information Sessions are held in person this year. More information will be sent to any one who submits this form and provides us with a working email address.

The Sustainable Horticulture Certificate Program requires daytime availability Monday through Thursday Spring and Fall.  Paid Internship hours vary by work site, but all require daytime availability and are generally 30-37.5 hours per week.
