Minnesota English Language Program (MELP)

To be considered for admission to the Intensive English Program (IEP), you must meet the following requirements:

• Be a high school graduate
• Be at least 17 years old
• Have a minimum of two years of previous English study in high school or college, or equivalent English proficiency
• Submit a completed application along with all required supporting documents
• Pay the $55 non-refundable application fee

To begin a new application, click "Apply Now" or "Start."

To finish an application that you have already started, or to check the status of a submitted application:

1. Do NOT click "Apply Now" or "Start."
2. Select “Login” and then select “Learner Login” (upper right corner).
   • Choose “I have a University Internet Account.”
   • Internet ID is your complete email address used to create your guest account (example: John.Doe@gmail.com).
3. Select “My Applications” (left side menu).
4. Select “Continue” and then select “Continue” again.
