GHSAB 2020 - 2021 Application
WHAT IS GHSAB?
The University of Minnesota's Global Health Student Advisory Board (GHSAB) is the university's only interprofessional global health student group!
We are a committee of student representatives from graduate and professional programs across the Academic Health Center working to educate and mobilize the next generation of socially responsible global health professionals.
We meet as a student board once per month, advise the Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility (CGHSR) on programs and activities, and promote ethical student initiatives and opportunities for learning within global health systems.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN GHSAB?
This is an exciting time to be part of GHSAB, as we're looking forward to building the presence and momentum of the group over the next year!
If you're passionate about global health, public health, ethics, interprofessional collaboration, and working with a dynamic team of students, we'd love to have you join us!

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS YEAR?
This year is going to be a little bit different. All our events through December will be completely virtual, including Global Health Week (1st week of October) and Global Health Day (October 3rd)
Also, we’ll host multiple virtual (and in person if allowed) events throughout the year such networking events, volunteer opportunities, health awareness days/weeks, etc. All of these experiences will be based on their connection to global health. These events will be ways for all of us as GHSAB as well as the surrounding community to interact and make an impact.
Global is Local, Local is Global!
