Thank you for your interest in the Ixodes Outreach Project.
The Ixodes Outreach Project has received funding from the National Library of Medicine to provide Outreach Programming this spring.
We are offering a limited number of free Zoom presentations to secondary school students (grades 6-12) between March 25th and April 30th. Talks will include a 40-50 minute Zoom presentation on
•
What causes Lyme Disease
•
How we can prevent Lyme Disease
•
How we can make a difference in our community through research
•
Research being done at UMD
•
Citizen science efforts
Students will have the opportunity to participate in the presentation through polls, use of chat, and group discussion.
Talks will be scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays. A limited number of slots are available, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis (available time slots and dates are listed below). You can chose a first, second and third choice for your presentation time. You will be notified if one of the times you select is available and be given addition information on how to sign in to the presentation.
You may have as many students sign in to your presentation as you like, however, we suggest limiting to 50 or less to allow for more personal interaction during the presentation.
