Our vision is to enable the University of Minnesota to be a national leader in innovative research to improve public health and protects Minnesota's water resources. A philanthropic fund established initially by UMN alumnus Bernie Bullert, a well-known and respected leader in regional and national water and wastewater engineering, MWRF provides research support to solve current and emerging water quality problems while training University students, the engineers and scientists of tomorrow's water management.
