The goal of the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate (PACC) is to increase the number of qualified permanency and adoption mental health and child welfare professionals in Minnesota who are able to work in collaborative, cross-disciplinary and multicultural contexts. PACC includes 70+ Social Work CEU’s including: the National Training Initiative (NTI) developed by the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.), anchored regularly with full-day Sessions designed to deepen and integrate learning through interactive discussion and experiential learning, and ongoing Case Consultation.  Coursework is a hybrid of independent online learning and interactive classroom sessions and case consultation. Training schedule, pace and assignments are designed for participants with full-time employment, but require regular out-of-class pre/post work and NTI module completion.

Upon receiving approval of your application, you will receive a confirmation email which will also direct you to register for the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate (PACC) course.

There are two cohort options for the 2024-25 training year:
Section 001 is a blend of in-person and virtual classrooms, located in the Twin Cities Metro.
Section 002 is a fully virtual format open to applicants across greater MN.
Detailed program information and the 2024-25 Draft Calendar for both Sections is on the Training Page. Please note that if a cohort becomes full, you may have the option to consider the other Section option and/or be placed on a waitlist. Contact the program coordinator at info@paccminnesota.com with any questions.
