Pediatric End of Life Care Skills (PECS) Workgroup

Our mission is to educate healthcare workers to provide high quality care for pediatric patients and their families at the end of life.

Our vision and purpose for PECS workshops is:

  • To improve trainee competence in providing end of life care for their pediatric patients

  • To participate in simulated learning for the high acuity, low occurrence scenarios of pediatric end of life

  • To enhance trainee wellbeing by equipping them to work through traumatic clinical scenarios

  • To engage all members of the interprofessional team, including patients and parents

Welcome to our site, which seeks to:

  • Share the work we are doing at the University of Minnesota

  • Encourage others to consider PECS education at their own institutions

  • Build collaborative efforts
