Getting Started

Welcome to Research in Psychology Week! 

We are excited to offer undergraduate students this opportunity to explore current Psychology research labs and projects. You will be able to learn about our faculty, hear from other students, and consult with our advising staff this week. Today, start to explore this website and watch the introduction video. Afterward, explore past event recordings, follow the to-do list, and make your plan for the week.

Department of Undergraduate Advising Psychology offers drop-in hours if you have any questions or concerns relating to your research and want to meet with a full-time advisor for a quick chat.

Day 1

Your real-world experience through internships may help you determine who or what topic you want to study in the field of Psychology.

Join this exciting opportunity to learn more about tips and tricks for exploring your opportunity outside of campus by learning more about internships.

Research Workshop

Day 2

Are you interested in getting started with Psychology Research? This workshop will focus on sharing resources to get started with research that relates to the Psychology Major. You will learn how Psy 4/5993 research works in the department. You will discover how research can fit into your Psychology Major and/or overall enhance your undergraduate experience.

Research Fair

Day 3

Research in Psychology Fair (In-person, Elliott Hall Lobby) - No RSVP is required. 


Before attending the event, review the Faculty Look Book, which is a guide to finding a research professor based on your interest.


Laura will also be available on virtual drop-ins to answer questions about getting involved in research.

Day 4

Does anyone miss meeting our full-time advisors in person? We are back! Our advising department is offering an in-person drop-in option. Come by our department during the designated hours and meet our full-time advisor in person. You can ask about anything relating to research (or Fall classes even!).
