Objectives

Title: Pulmonary Physiology and the Impact of SARS-CoV-2

Objectives for this CE course

Upon completion of the course, participants will understand and be able to explain:

  • Mechanics and function of the pulmonary system
  • How gas exchange occurs in a healthy lung and how changes in metabolism and blood flow can influence gas exchange
  • Pulmonary circulation: how ventilation-perfusion mismatching causes abnormal gas exchange

  • The impact of smoking and co-morbidities on mortality in those with SARS-CoV-2
  • The disproportionate rate at which communities of color become sick and/or die of SARS-CoV-2

Title: Pulmonary Rehabilitation of COVID-19 Across the Continuum of Care

Objectives for this CE course

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to explain:

  • Clinical presentation of COVID-19 from the ICU to the outpatient clinic
