Trimming Our Sails 2021: A Deep Dive Into Shipwrecks and Aquatic Invasive Species
Thank you for registering to take a deep dive with Sea Grant this summer and investigate the history and science of shipwrecks and shipwreck preservation with a maritime archaeologist and how aquatic invasive species impact water quality, the food web, and shipwrecks.

This virtual educator professional development workshop series is brought to you by Minnesota and Wisconsin Sea Grant's Center for Great Lakes Literacy and consists of two workshops that will take place on Wednesday, July 28th and Wednesday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. You may participate in one or both workshops.

Topic: Great Lakes shipwrecks and maritime archaeology
Guest speaker:  Tamara Thomsen, Maritime Archaeologist, photographer, researcher, and research diver

Wednesday, August 4, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Topic:  Aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes
Guest speaker:  Dr. Ashley Elgin, Research Benthic Ecologist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
