All in grades 6+ are encouraged to join our 4-H Leadership for a day of fun! We will challenge each other will grilled cheese, do some fun team building & get some planning done too. FLOP is a great way to get more involved in the local 4-H program, a more comfortable way to be involved in the decision-making and a great space to have a lot of fun.

Pope County Beef Clinic
Join Pope County 4-H for a Beef Clinic on April 7th at the new Jenniges Meat Processing facility. Learn all about animal production, the meat industry, farm to table, and more! This clinic gives Pope County 4-H an opprtunity to apply for a bonus trip in Beef to the State Fair. Larger number of attendees means we get a better chance at the bonus trip!
The clinic will start at 2PM, and thank you to our Cattle superintendents and volunteers for planning a great experience.
FINAL 4-H Engage and Interact: Bring it to the Fair!
Join us on April 13th from 10-11:30 in the Community Room for our final project day for all in grades 3-5. In this last session we will talk about everything we have done so far and how those projects can be exhibted at the fair.

Regional 4-H camp - Morris
4-H camp is a great way to have fun outdoors and meet new friends! This multi-county 4-H camp will be held in west central Minnesota on the beautiful campus of the University of Minnesota Morris.
Educational sessions and camp activities will include water games, outdoor games, campfire and more.
LAQ (Livestock Quality Assurance)
Wondering if you need to recertify in LQA (Livestock Quality Assurance) this year? 4-H Families can view LQA&E certifications on the Member List page as a Quality Assurance entry or contact the Office. All youth 6+ showcasing Livestock and planning to go on to State Fair needs this training to be eligible for State Fair.

Animal ID Deadline- May 15th
Please carefully review the Animal ID letter for important information on the process to identify animals that you plan to show at the Pope County Fair.
Southwest Happenings!
Check out the variety of learning opportunities being offered by staff in the Southwest region. The SW 4-H Catalog of Opportunities includes in-person, virtual, and on your own opportunities to learn and grow in your 4-H project development. The catalog is updated frequently with new opportunities.
State Ambassador Applications are OPEN
Applications for the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors are now open! Join the State Ambassador advisors and some of the ambassadors for an informational session on April 9 at 8:00 p.m. to learn more about the State Ambassador team and the application!

Stevens County 4-H Archery Invitational
You are invited to participate in the first annual Stevens County 4-H Archery Invitational on April 13. Come test your skills with archery, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your archery skills and learn from peers, coaches, and volunteers in a positive environment.
The archery invitational will be held in Gym 91 in the Morris Area High School in Morris. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the event starting at 10 a.m.

Feeding For Success
*INCLUDES LQA* Wondering how to help your 4-H market animals reach a healthy rate of gain? Want to learn more on how to feed your 4-H production animal to make sure they are getting the proper nutrition for growth? Join us in learning how to determine your feeding program goals for your market or production animal from nutritionists and Extension Educators who specialize in livestock species.
