Dinner on the Lakes: A Virtual Talk Series
Thank you for your interest in Dinner on the Lakes: A Virtual Teacher Talks series.

All sessions in this series will take place on the third Tuesday of every month from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning January 19th and ending in May.  Please feel free to join from wherever you are, whether that is during dinner with the family or if you are working late.

Our schedule for the series is:

January 19:  
Partners in Education (PIE) goes online, introducing the new PIE virtual programming for 3rd grade and up

March 16:    
iNaturalist and the CGLL Great Lakes Bioblitz
Marte Kitson, Minnesota Sea Grant

April 20:      
Exploring Vernal Pools with Students
Billie Waugh, South Terrace Elementary School

May 18:      
Citizen Science in the Classroom
Jennifer Flynn, Hermantown Elementary School

Our speakers are teachers and educators who have completed Center for Great Lakes Literacy (CGLL) professional development shipboard or shore side workshops and/or support experience based learning opportunities for youth that promote Great Lakes stewardship. Talks are 25-30 minutes long and focus on hands on activities for your learners and/or families.

About a week before each talk, we will send you a confirmation request and a Zoom link for the presentation.
