UMN Graduate & Professional Student Roommate Finder ©
Welcome to the UMN Graduate & Professional Student Roommate Finder! This list is sponsored and monitored by Off-Campus Living (OCL) www.ocl.umn.edu. Connect with OCL on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (@Off-Campus Gopher) to stay up-to-date on information and resources for off-campus students.

How the Roommate Finder Works:
Students interested in finding other UMN students as roommates can fill out the form (below). An OCL office assistant will verify x500s to ensure the students are enrolled at the UMN (every Tuesday and Thursday normally).  Once verified, the students will be emailed with a disclaimer (see below) and given view-only shared access to five documents:

(1) UMN Student Roommate Finder Responses
(2) 2_Landlord-tenant_referrals.pdf
(3) 3_Landlords_and_tenants_rights_and_responsibilities.pdf
(4) 4_TopEightQuestions_roommate.docx
(5) Attorney General’s Guidelines for moving into an apartment (5_MovingInToAnApartment.pdf).

You will have access to these resources up to 3 weeks past your indicated move date. After 3 weeks, you will be removed from the list. If you would like to be removed prior to this time, you may email us at roommate@umn.edu

If you have questions, concerns, or ways to improve the form, please email roommate@umn.edu or call Off-Campus Living at 612-626-5213

This spreadsheet is intended to assist a forum for UMN Graduate and Professional students to identify other student roommates. By accessing the UMN Undergraduate Student Roommate Finder, and/or the UMN Graduate and Professional Student Roommate Finder spreadsheet, you agree to use the information in an appropriate manner and acknowledge that failure to do so will result in immediate and indefinite removal from the spreadsheet, without additional warning. Appropriate use includes using the information to find a roommate and/or place of residence. Inappropriate use includes, but is not limited to, using the information for solicitations other than finding suitable living accommodations and sharing information on the form, including the form itself, with persons who are not current graduate students at the University of Minnesota who have been added to the spreadsheet. Be advised that any information in the spreadsheet, other than the x500 UMN email, is not checked for accuracy and users must use individual discretion and accept sole responsibility for the use of the spreadsheet. The Office of Off-Campus Living (OCL) assumes no responsibility for, and any liabilities resulting from, information or communication exchanged between persons on the spreadsheet and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information provided by students. OCL takes no responsibility in mismatched roommates: it is the sole responsibility of students to arrange their own contract and living situation, including finding an appropriate roommate who shares a similar lifestyle. We suggest that students make adequate inquiries to ensure, to the best of their knowledge, that they will respect the living choices of their chosen roommate. Finally, it is extremely important that you use caution when sharing information with other people on the spreadsheet to avoid fraud.  As a convenience, OCL may provide links to other websites operated by other entities.  By utilizing these websites, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for all protective measures to guard against viruses and/or any other destructive elements.  This page may be used for lawful purposes only; illegal activities include but are not limited to tampering with the page, misrepresenting the identity of a user, or conducting fraudulent activities on the page, which are expressly prohibited.  In utilizing this spreadsheet, you agree not to use any device, software or routine or data to interfere or attempt to interfere with any activity being conducted on the page.  Following the email, you will receive view-only shared access to the documents listed above. To have your information removed from the spreadsheet at any time but specifically once you have found a roommate (which subsequently will result in removal of all shared access), please email umnroommates@gmail.com with subject line: REMOVE ME. If you otherwise have not asked to be removed from the list, you will be removed after your latest move in date.
