Share one thing you wish you'd known about law school as an undergrad.

I wish I dedicated (and more importantly, made) more time for LSAT studying! Also to focus on building relationships with professors/faculty.

How did you choose your law school?

My decision ultimately came down to the connections I made during my undergrad with the staff, faculty, and students at the law school as well as wanting to remain close to my support systems. Additionally, the clinical opportunities at the school were very appealing to me in that they offered a chance give back to the Minneapolis community as a student.

What advice do you have for students/recent alums as they begin the application process?

I would say make sure to apply early and narrow your list down to schools that speak to you and your needs. Law school is an investment, so make sure it's worth your time, effort, and money! Reputation and rank can only carry you so far if you don't feel supported as a student there.
Apply for the LSAC Fee Waivers

The Law School Admission Council oversees both the LSAT and the law school application process. Applicants can apply for a fee waiver- and eligibility for fee waivers has now been expanded!

The deadline to apply for this fee waiver is 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THE LSAT YOU PLAN TO TAKE. You can apply up to a year prior to when you plan on applying, because included in the waiver is access to many free LSAT prep resources! With Khan Academy being phased out at the end of this summer, this fee waiver becomes even more important.

Register for the LSAT
Please refer to LSAC.org for the most up-to-date information regarding schedules and changes.

Are you planning ahead to when you'll take the LSAT? View the entire  schedule. Make sure to allow 4-6 months prior to the exam to adequately prepare!

Please note that logic games will be removed from the LSAT for the August 2024 administration. Read more about these changes and how to prepare.
