Welcome!

Hello! I'm Dr. Julie Slowiak. Students call me Dr. S. I am an associate professor and have been lucky to have been a faculty member in the UMD Psychology Department since 2008. I teach undergraduate courses in statistics, learning and behavior, and applied behavior analysis; I teach graduate courses within the industrial/organizational track of our graduate program.

I conduct research on factors that influence personal and professional wellbeing. My current interests relate to self-care, burnout, chronic illness, coach/athlete performance, and injury rehabilitation. Learn more on the Wellbeing and Behavioral Science (WBS) Lab webpage.
