If you are a first-year student attending orientation at the University of Minnesota and require additional nights' accommodations in June or July, you have the option to reserve a space in Mark G. Yudof Hall. For those attending orientation in August, accommodations are available at Centennial Hall.

The nightly rate includes a linen set (sheets, blanket, pillow & towel set), laundry access, and guest access to the University of Minnesota wireless internet network. The Information Desk is staffed 24 hours a day to answer questions and provide additional linens, blankets, etc., as needed. The fully ADA compliant buildings offer specific rooms to accommodate ADA needs upon request. Please note that all reservations are binding, and cancellations must be received at least 14 days prior to arrival to avoid being billed for the entire amount.

First-year students attending orientation in June and July do not have to pay for housing between Day 1 and Day 2 of the actual orientation dates, as arrangements have been made by Orientation & Transition Experiences. You only need to pay extra for additional nights' accommodations, at a nightly rate of $39 per student.

Students arriving early will share a unit with another student also arriving early, with each student having a private bedspace.

If you are attending orientation as a parent/guardian, family member, or student supporter in June or July, housing will be offered at Mark G. Yudof Hall. Yudof Hall is a six-story coeducational apartment-style residence located adjacent to the east bank of the Mississippi River, Coffman Memorial Union, and the Weisman Art Museum.

For families attending orientation with their student, shared units are available. The cost is $78 per night for two people or $39 per night for one person. It's important to keep in mind that first-year students are required to stay with the other Orientation Students the night of Day 1 in June and July*. Therefore, if you are only staying for the night of your student's Day 1, you will not need to make a reservation for your student that night as it is covered by arrangements made by the Orientation & Transition Experiences.

For parent/guardians, family members, or student supporters arriving early to attend orientation with their student and needing overnight accommodations, a shared unit may be available.

The University of Minnesota campus area offers two distinct neighborhoods that provide a variety of dining and shopping options. Dinkytown and Stadium Village offer everything you need from dining to drugstores, within a short walk of Mark G. Yudof Hall and Centennial Hall. The three on-campus light rail stations make transit between cities simple and convenient.

Parking is available for overnight guests in the East River Road Garage for $6 per day through Orientation & Transition Experiences. The East River Road Garage is attached to Mark G. Yudof Hall.
