Employers from a variety of organizations will be available to discuss your interests and goals, as well as their available opportunities. This is a smaller event where we encourage you to come ready with your resume, questions and time to have a conversation with employers.
Prepare for the fair by attending our CV workshop with CLA Career Services. This workshop will take place the week before the fair and will be an opportunity for you to prepare your professional materials for the fair. More details about the workshop to come!

What should I wear?
You're encouraged to dress business casual in a way that is comfortable and expresses who you are.
What should I bring?
You'll likely want a way for you to take notes while talking to employers. We also suggest bringing copies of your resume to give to employers/organizations.
What should I expect? I've never been to a career fair before!
This fair will be small and intimate, much different than a lot of other career fairs. We want students and employers to have a conversation beyond a quick elevator pitch. You will go to the fair, you'll check in when you arrive, and then go visit the tables. You are encouraged to ask questions to learn more about the organization and also share information about yourself. It's a great opportunity to build your professional network, practice for a larger fair, and learn about current and future opportunities. There are organizations you may have never heard of before or never realized they'd have internships/careers related to political science!
I'm a freshman, is this event one I should go to?
Yes! This event is great for freshmen. Not all organizations will be looking for interns at the event, but they'll be providing information that will prepare you to apply in the future when they are hiring. Also, freshmen are qualified for many internship positions, so don't underestimate yourself.
I'm a senior, will there be organizations hiring?
It's hard to know if anyone will have a full time job available. However, this is a great networking event and can be a way for you to stay in contact with employers and learn more about the career paths of the representatives attending the fair.
I'm not sure if I'll major or minor in political science. Can I still attend?
Yes you can! While this event is targeting political science majors and minors, we welcome anyone who would be interested in learning more about these organizations.
